The Pre-party

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to AJ Bombers for the pre party and help with donations towards the main event in Austin. We appreciate the help and support.

February, 2011 Update.

More Brats. More Beer. More room at the Cedar Door. Yes, the Milwaukee Beer and Brat Bash is in the planning stages for a SXSW Interactive 2011 event.

We are finalizing the contract for the entire bar on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 12PM - 3PM. We are currently looking for more sponsors to help us out with the event. Without them, the poor brats wont be able to make their delicate trip to Austin.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the organizing team of the Milwaukee Beer & Brat Bash! We had a fabulous time on Tuesday, and it seems everyone at the bash had a great time too. Thanks for coming out on a rainy Tuesday!

We had over 200 guests at the Cedar Door, enjoying authentic Milwaukee Usinger bratwurst, cole slaw, potato salad, Miller High Life and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and other friendly guests.

The Cedar Door was a great space and on the ball. We had intended to have the bash on the patio but rain changed those plans. Stephanie at the Cedar Door had a private room all ready to go and even let us use seats in the entire restaurant for the comfort of our guests.

But also remember: Brats, Beer and CAPACITY are limited, so PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY! We are upping our numbers of brats, and beer quota, but we still may run out (you have been duly warned).

Foursquare FlashMob / fundraiser at AJ Bombers!

Sunday, February 28 from 3-7pm

Please join us on SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28th from 3-7pm for a Foursquare FlashMob to help raise money for the Milwaukee Beer and Brat Bash party at SXSW! We wish that everyone in Milwaukee could attend the Milwaukee Beer and Brat Bash during the SXSW conference in Austin, TX, but that would get really expensive to fly everyone down there. So instead, join us at the party before the party! Help us raise the funds by bidding on some really exciting auction items!

And as an added bonus, if we succeed in forming the first ever Midwest foursquare flashmob, you can capture the coveted "swarm badge" on foursquare... and that's just plain cool.
